Pro Exotics PE-2 Infrared Temp Gun The Pro Exotics PE-2 Infrared Temp Gun adds a few more advanced features than our PE-1, but retains a great retail price of just $45 (completely unbeatable in the infrared temp gun world!). The PE-2 unit adds a much requested red sighting laser, and an expanded temperature range to 482F (easily switchable to 250C). The PE-2 has an adjustable emissivity setting for precise calibration, and perhaps best of all, a tight infrared "cone" distance to spot ratio (D:S) of 8:1. That means at a distance of 8 inches, you are reading an area just 1 inch in diameter. At a distance of 2 feet, an area of just 3 inches, as compared to our wider D:S ratio of 1:1 on the PE-1 unit.
